How to Grow Stronger Natural Nails
•By Faithful Nails
Brittle, peeling nails are usually a sign of dehydration or physical trauma. Here is how to rebuild your natural nail strength from the inside out.
- Cuticle Oil is Your Best Friend: Apply a high-quality jojoba-based cuticle oil at least twice a day. Jojoba oil has a molecular structure similar to our skin's natural oils, allowing it to penetrate the nail plate and keep it flexible.
- Protect Your Hands: Chemicals in household cleaners and even prolonged exposure to water can strip the natural oils from your nails. Always wear gloves when doing dishes or cleaning.
- Biotin and Hydration: While external care is vital, internal health matters too. Ensure you are drinking plenty of water and consider a Biotin supplement if your doctor approves.
- Stop Using Your Nails as Tools: This is the hardest habit to break! Never use your nails to open soda cans, scrape stickers, or pry things open. Use a tool instead.
Consistency is key. Give it 3 months (the time it takes for a nail to grow from base to tip) and you'll see a massive difference!
